TMS Mentoring

Compassionate one-to-one mentoring is an effective way to help children and young adults in Gloucestershire grow in confidence and develop the social, emotional and practical skills they need to succeed in life. 

Since 2017, our bespoke training, mentoring and support packages have helped thousands of young people who struggle with traditional education to fulfil their potential.

TMS+

TMS+ is our education provision where supportive one-to-one mentoring and training are overseen by our education team to ensure achievable educational targets are met. 

Our trusted education facilitators and coordinators create personalised one-to-one and small group sessions that are designed to ease the transition back into a classroom environment.

TMS Post-16

TMS provides vocational education for young people aged 16 to 25 with EHCPs, referred to us through the local authority’s SEND team.

Our innovative programmes are designed to create brighter futures for young people with social, emotional and mental health-based barriers to learning.

TMS Post-16 courses offer 15-hour weekly provision in small group sizes with a high staff to student ratio to help young people achieve their goals. 

All post-16 pathways include English, maths and Preparing for Adulthood (PfA) curriculum alongside four vocations: sports, outdoor learning, eSports/gaming and catering.

TMS Futures

Our TMS Futures course has two elements: TMS Catering and TMS Employability. Both programmes exist exclusively through direct referrals from Gloucestershire County Council’s SEND team for young people who need exceptional provision. 

Based in Suite 121 in Gloucester Quays, TMS Catering provides the chance to develop both skills and confidence, putting young people on the right track for a career in catering or hospitality. 

Students gain practical employability skills, real-life experience and independence through dedicated placements with local businesses, while studying towards a qualification in English and maths.

Also located in Suite 121, TMS Employability focuses on developing interpersonal and transferable skills, interactions with employers and experiences that lead to work placements in the young person’s area of interest. 

Students work towards a qualification in English and maths while growing in confidence and self-belief.

TMS Sports 16+

TMS Sports offers an accredited qualification for 16 to 18-year-olds with a passion for sports, who struggle with mainstream education.

The NCFE Level 1 Certificate in Sport and NCFE Level 2 Award in Sports, Fitness and Active Leisure blend physical activity and theoretical knowledge to encourage young adults to grow in confidence and develop vital teamwork and leadership skills.

TMS Outdoor Learning 16+

Personal growth, caring for the environment and the benefits of the natural world are the driving force behind TMS Outdoor Learning, which centres on the belief that the best education often takes place outside the classroom.

Based in the heart of Gloucestershire, this innovative post-16 pathway gives young people the chance to develop new skills, care for the environment and have fun in the great outdoors while working towards a Preparation for Adulthood (PfA) qualification.

TMS eSports/Gaming 16+

TMS eSports/Gaming provides personalised mentoring, education and support designed to equip young people with a passion for gaming for a successful career in the digital space or eSports industry. 

Based in Gloucester Docks, students work towards an OCN London Level 2 Award in eSports and a Preparation for Adulthood (PfA) qualification – including English and maths, PSHE and AQA/ASDAN awards – while growing in confidence and developing vital life skills.

TMS Catering 16+
