Mainstream education doesn’t work for everyone. Many children and young adults struggle with traditional schooling and need a special kind of support, empathy and understanding to fulfill their potential.

Combining one-to-one mentoring with educational targets is an effective way to help young people facing difficulties transition back into a school environment.

Meeting educational targets

TMS+ provides a positive, happy and supportive learning environment in which young people are encouraged to achieve their full potential.

Our popular education provision blends supportive one-to-one mentoring and training that’s monitored, evaluated and reviewed by our experienced education team to ensure educational targets are met.

We develop a bespoke curriculum for each child – focusing on maths, English, PSHE, physical education and creativity – that reflects their interests and hobbies and focuses on learning outcomes. Kinaesthetic and visual teaching methods acknowledge that everyone learns in a different way.

Our home from home in Gloucester

Based at the TMS Centre – our safe, colourful and well-equipped base in Kingsholm, Gloucester – TMS+ offers 5,000 square feet of safe, welcoming mentoring space and all the facilities we need to support the young people we work with, including quiet spaces, sensory rooms, education spaces, IT rooms, art rooms, music rooms, imaginative play, table tennis, football, air hockey and kitchen.

We work closely with commissioners to set achievable targets for each student and help to prepare them to return to a classroom environment.

Our trusted education facilitators and co-ordinators create personalised sessions that are designed to make transitioning back into mainstream education setting that little bit easier.

With access to ASDANs, AQA Awards and partnerships with Bridge Training, TMS+ offers a range of educational pathways and qualifications.

Learners grow in confidence, develop a sense of purpose and learn to work as a team – all while achieving the educational standards they need to return to mainstream education.
